Sealed Proposals: The proposal will be done in strict compliance found in the bid package for the Stephens County S.R. 145 C&D Landfill Closure Construction Certification Surveys. All bids submitted should be clearly marked on the envelope or package ?Stephens County Landfill? and submitted to Stephens County Clerk, Attn: Beth Rider, 37 West Tugalo Street, Toccoa, Georgia 30577. The surveying firm should submit its statement of qualification and cost proposal to Stephens County no later than 4:00 p.m. legal prevailing time, Thursday, August 2, 2012. Absolutely, no bids will be accepted after 4:00 p.m. The proposal form in the request for proposals must be fully completed to be considered. All sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud on Friday, August 3, 2012 at 10:00 a.m., at 37 West Tugalo Street, Toccoa, Georgia 30577. No faxed bids will be received or accepted.

The Work to be done consists of performing three (3) separate topographic surveys of the area considered to be the limits of waste to determine the elevation of the intermediate cover, thickness of the compacted soil cap, thickness of the vegetative cover, and a final as-built survey of the location and elevation of the constructed site improvements within the disturbed area. All work must be completed in conformance with the technical specifications Section 01050 ?Confirmation surveys.?

Construction Drawings and Specifications may be obtained from Harbin Engineering P.C., 1660 Old Atlanta Highway, Forsyth, Georgia 31029, (478) 992-9122. Electronic copies of the drawings and specifications will be provided and utilized for bidding. Hard copies of the construction drawings shall be provided to the selected surveyor. Qualifications of Surveyor: The Surveyor must be licensed to the State of Georgia and have experience with projects similar in size, type and complexity and this must be demonstrated to the satisfaction of the ENGINEER and OWNER. References for five (5) recent survey projects, at least one of which must be a landfill construction project, shall be submitted with the bid. An E-Verify Affidavit and SAE Affidavit shall be submitted with the bid.
