The Camden County Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at 6:00 p.m. in the conference room of the County Annex Building, 107 North Gross Road, Kingsland, Georgia. The recommendations of the Planning board will be forwarded to the Camden County Board of Commissioners for consideration at their meeting on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at 6:00 p.m. The Board of County Commissioners will meet in the Government Services Building, located at 200 East 4th Street, Woodbine, GA 31569.


1) Rezoning - #RZ2012-3 - James D. Gilbert of Sea Island Acquisition, LLC, representing Broadfield Holdings Co., LLC, is requesting a rezoning from A-F (Agricultural Forestry) to PD (Planned Development) approval on 120 acres of the existing parcel consisting of 2190.7 acres for the purpose of a hunting club. The Future land Use Shown as Rural. The property is located on Tax Map #104, Parcel #002.

2) Variance - ZV2012-2 - Mike Crews is requesting a Special Exception Variance for his mother_s property located at 210 Burnt Fort Road, Waverly, GA for a reduction of the side yard setback from 20 feet to 6 feet to allow continued location of a chicken coop and enclosed chicken yard, and to add a storage shelter for boat storage as an extension of an existing storage building reducing the same side yard setback from 20 feet to 5 feet, located on 2.66 acres located on Tax Map 063A 02 and shown as zoned _A-R, Residential Agriculture, with Future Land Use Shown as Rural Residential.

Note: Pursuant to O.C.G.A. 36-67-A-3, all parties who have made campaign contributions to any member of the Camden County Board of Commissioners in excess of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00) within two years immediately preceding the filing of this request, and who desires to appear at the meeting in opposition to the application, shall at least five (5) days prior to the hearing, file a campaign contribution report with the Camden County Planning &Development Office.
