Notice is hereby given that, in accordance with O.C.G.A. 21-2-540 , a special election shall be held in the City of Taylorsville to fill the vacancy in the office of Mayor caused by the removal of the Honorable Carrie Rhodes. The special election will be held on November 6, 2012. Qualifying for the special election shall be held at Bartow County Board of Elections and Voter Registration, 105 N. Bartow Street, Cartersville, GA 30120, beginning at 9:00 AM on August 20, 2012, and ending at 12:00 PM on August 24, 2012. The qualifying fee shall be $35.00. All persons who are not registered to vote and who desire to register to vote in the special election may register to vote through the close of business on October 9, 2012. Early voting will be held October 15, 2012 through November 2, 2012, at Bartow County Board of Elections and Voter Registration, 105 N. Bartow Street, Cartersville, GA 30120. Polls will open from 7:00 AM until 7:00 PM at Taylorsville City Hall, 84 Main Street, Taylorsville, GA 30178 on Election Day.
