GEORGIA, BIBB COUNTY MACON WATER AUTHORITY SEWAGE SPILL -A sanitary sewage spill occurred Monday, August 13, 2012 at 8:56am through 11:00am at 1301 Riverside Drive at the Riverside Cemetery. The cause of the spill was a 90% root blockage in the line. The amount of the spill was determined to be 18,800 gallons. The spill entered Vineville Branch. Service was restored and cleanup has already taken place. Water Quality testing has been initiated to determine the impact at upstream and downstream locations from the spill site as well as upstream and downstream sites on the Ocmulgee River from the confluence of the branch and river. #2912035: 8/19
