Notice is hereby given that the City of Unadilla, Georgia will accept sealed bid packages for the Unadilla City Hall and Senior Center, Unadilla, Georgia in strict conformity with the Bidding and Contract Documents. 2. Each bid package must be submitted on the prescribed Form which is included in the bid documents. Each bid package will include: a. Bid form b. Bid Bond c. Proposed schedule for construction d. The City of Unadilla shall open the bids publicly and evaluate such bids without discussions with the bidders. Bids will close at 2:00 pm and will be opened at 2:10 pm. ATTENDANCE AT THIS PRE-BID CONFERENCE IS MANDATORY IN ORDER TO SUBMIT A BID. 5. Sets may be obtained for a deposit of $150.00 (Payable to JMA Architecture, Inc.) plus postage and shipping. The full amount of deposit for one set purchased from JMA Architecture, Inc. will be refunded to each bidder who submits a bonafide bid upon return of such set in good condition within fourteen (14) days after the date of the bid opening. 6. Each bid must be accompanied with a BID BOND (Bond only; certified checks or other forms are not acceptable) in an amount equal to 5% of the base bid, payable to the City of Unadilla Georgia City Council, and issued by a Surety authorized to do business in the State of Georgia, in order to guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract to construct the project strictly within the terms and conditions stated in this bid and in the bidding and Contract Documents, should the construction contract be awarded to that bidder. All bonds must be issued from approved sureties appearing on the Treasury Departments most current Circular 570 listing. 7. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a bond for the faithful performance on the contract and a bond to secure payment of all claims for materials furnished and/or labor performed in performance of the project, both in amounts equal to 100% of the Contract Price. Both bonds shall be issued by a Corporate Surety authorized to do business in the State of Georgia. All bids submitted shall remain open for a period of forty-five (45) days after the date of the bid opening. All bonds must be issued from approved sureties appearing on the Treasury Departments most current Circular 570 listing. 8. All bids submitted shall be in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia. The City of Unadilla reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities.
