M-7343 PUBLIC NOTICE Cobb County Water System 660 South Cobb Drive Marietta, GA 30060 WASTEWATER OVERFLOW 3079 Shadowood Lane Marietta, Georgia 30066 This notification is being made in compliance with the requirements of Section 12-5-30 of the Official Code of Georgia. A wastewater overflow occurred at 3079 Shadowood Lane, Marietta Georgia, on July 9, 2012. The overflow was a result of a root blockage in the sanitary sewer main that caused flow to escape from an aerial creek crossing to a small tributary of Noonday Creek. The Water System was notified at 8:30 a.m. and the overflow was stopped at 10:30 a.m. The line overflowed into a tributary of Noonday Creek. The know volume of overflow was calculated at 720 gallons and there were 4 fish killed as a result of the overflow. Laboratory monitoring of the waterway is underway. 7:13
