NOTICE OF HEARING CONCERNING AMENDMENTS TO THE ATHENS-CLARKE COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES: PLANNED DEVELOPMENT, REZONINGS, SPECIAL USES, AND TEXT AMENDMENTS The Athens-Clarke County Planning Commission has forwarded to the Mayor and Commission of Athens-Clarke County, Georgia its recommendations on the following proposed amendments to the Athens-Clarke County Code of Ordinances, which may be approved as specifically set forth below or in such other appropriate manner as determined by the Mayor and Commission: 8 Rezoning from C-O (MAC) (Commercial-Office, Milledge Avenue Corridor Special District Overlay) to C-O (PD) (MAC) (Commercial-Office Planned Development, Milledge Avenue Corridor Special District Overlay) at 1073 South Milledge Avenue (Athens-Clarke County Tax Parcel Number 173A1 G010) 8 Rezoning from AR (Agricultural Residential) to RS-25 (Single-Family Residential) at 4680 Lexington Road (Athens-Clarke County Tax Parcel Number 242 001C) 8 Special Use in RS-25 (Single-Family Residential) to allow for a church at 4680 Lexington Road (Athens-Clarke County Tax Parcel Number 242 001C) 8 Rezoning from C-O (Commercial-Office) to C-N* (Commercial-Neighborhood Zoning with Conditions) at 590 North Milledge Avenue (Athens-Clarke County Tax Parcel Number 122B2 G001) 8 Special Use in E-I (Employment-Industrial) to allow for a kennel at 670 Olympic Drive (portion of Athens-Clarke County Tax Parcel Number 164 025) 8 Special Use in AR, RM-LTD, A (Agricultural Residential, Mixed Density Residential Limited Overlay, Airport Overlay Zone) to allow for a personal care home at 195 Bristlecone Court (Athens-Clarke County Tax Parcel Number 291A1 A024) 8 Special Use in RS-15 (Single-Family Residential) to allow for a personal care home at 190 Lavender Road (Athens-Clarke County Tax Parcel Number 062B4 A019) 8 Special Use in C-D (WE) (Commercial-Downtown, West End Downtown Design Area) to allow for a fraternity at 558 West Broad Street (Athens-Clarke County Tax Parcel Number 171A4 B011) 8 Rezoning from E-I (Employment-Industrial) to E-O (Employment-Office) at 665 Barber Street (Athens-Clarke County Tax Parcel Number 114B 002) 8 Rezoning from RS-5 (PD) (Single-Family Residential Planned Development) to C-N (PD) (Commercial-Neighborhood Planned Development) at 151-159 Nellie B Avenue and 585 Vine Street (Athens-Clarke County Tax Parcel Numbers 172A2 F001 - F001D, 172A4 A001 - A001D) 8 Text Amendments to Athens-Clarke County Code Chapters 9-3 and 9-12 and rezoning to establish the 78/316 Special District Overlay on the properties bounded by US 78, Atlanta Highway, the City of Bogart, and Oconee County (Athens-Clarke County Tax Parcel Numbers 043 013A, 043 013B, 043 021A, 043 021C, 043 026, p/o 043 013 The Mayor and Commission of Athens-Clarke County will consider the items described above at a public hearing on August 7, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall Commission Chamber at 301 College Avenue, Athens-Clarke County, Georgia.
