NOTICE OF LOCATION AND DESIGN APPROVAL<br /><br />CSBRG-0007-00(041), Jefferson/McDuffie Counties<br /><br />P.I. No. 0007041<br /><br />Notice is hereby given in compliance with Georgia Code 22-2-109 and 32-3-5 that the Georgia Department of Transportation has approved the Location and Design of this project.<br /><br />The date of location approval is July 18, 2012.<br /><br />The proposed project would begin along State Route 47 approximately 1,100 feet south of Brier Creek and extend approximately 1,600 feet to the north of Brier Creek and include the replacement of the structurally deficient bridge over Brier Creek. The proposed project is 0.51 mile long and begins at Milepost 0.27 in Jefferson County and ends at Milepost 5.91 in McDuffie County. The portion of the project in Jefferson County is located in G.M.D. 81 and 150, and the portion of the project in McDuffie County is in G.M.D. 133. The roadway typical section will accommodate a 12 foot travel lane and 8 foot shoulder, of which 2 feet is paved, in both directions.
