NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND INTENT TO APPLY FOR JOB ACCESS AND REVERSE COMMUTE (JARC) FUNDING The River Valley Regional Commission (RVRC) is responding to the 2013 JARC/New Freedom Call for Projects to be included within the Georgia Department of Transportation's funding application to the Federal Transit Administration for JARC funding. The RVRC intends to apply for the JARC funding. There will also be a public hearing held on March 18th, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. at the Richland Hotel, located at 355 Broad Street, Richland, GA 31825. The purpose of the public hearing is to review the Mobility Manager JARC grant application and receive public comment and testimony. The purpose of the JARC program is to improve access to transportation for residents within rural areas, as well as transportation services to employment and employment related activities for welfare recipients and low income persons. The RVRC intends to use this grant to fund a Mobility Manager position that will enable the RVRC to improve rural and human services transportation within the RC area. A copy of the JARC Grant Application may be viewed at the RVRC office location noted below during regular business hours.
