NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BY THE COUNCIL OF COLUMBUS ON AMENDMENTS TO THE ATLAS (MAP) OF THE COLUMBUS ZONING ORDINANCE Notice is hereby given that the Council of Columbus, Georgia will hold a public hearing on <B>Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 9:00 a.m.</B> in the Council Chambers, Plaza Level, Government Center Tower (100 10th Street) for the purpose of hearing interested parties relative to requested changes that will amend the Zoning Ordinance as follows: <B> Petition One -</B> Property located at 4001 Willis Road, is proposed for rezoning from SFR2 (Single Family Residential 2) to RO (Residential Office) Zoning District. The purpose of the rezoning is to build a commercial parking lot for a medical office. The Planning Advisory Commission and the Planning Department recommended conditional approval. Anyone wishing to speak in opposition to any of the zoning requests who has made campaign contributions aggregating $250.00 or more to a local official of the City of Columbus within the last two years must complete a "Disclosure of Campaign Contributions&#211; form as required by Title 36, Chapter 67-A, Official Code of Georgia Annotated. This form must be filed with the Clerk of Council office at least five (5) calendar days prior to the public hearing.
