NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING. Designated hearing officers representing City Council for the City of Warner Robins (acting as its own Redevelopment Agency) will hold a public hearing pursuant to O.C.G.A. Sec. 36-44-7(b) at 5:00 p.m. on November 29, 2010. The hearing will be held in the Council Conference Room, City Hall, 700 Watson Boulevard, Warner Robins, Georgia 31093. The purpose of the hearing will be to obtain citizens' input and comments regarding the formulation and adoption of a Redevelopment Plan for a designated downtown area within the City of Warner Robins (the lan . A redevelopment plan focuses public and/or private investment in targeted geographic areas characterized by conditions of underdevelopment, general distress and blight, within a city's area of operation. The Plan proposes the creation of a Tax Allocation District for funding projects described in the Plan. The Plan will also utilize all potential local, state and federal assistance avenues available. No additional tax millage is proposed under the Plan. The geographic area proposed by the Plan for redevelopment is generally bounded by Elberta Road, Ga. Highway 247, Richard B. Russell Parkway, and Pleasant Hill Road; reference should be made to the Plan's proposed maps for specific area inclusion. The Tax Allocation District proposed to be created by the Plan spans properties bordering or in close proximity to Watson Boulevard between its intersection with Ga. Highway 247 and Diggs Boulevard; reference should also be made to the Plan's proposed maps for specific tax parcel inclusion.
