NOTICE OF SEIZURE OF

PERSONAL PROPERTY VALUED

AT LESS THAN $25,000.00

Pursuant to O.C.G.A. Sec. 16-13-49, any person claiming an interest in the following property is hereby notified that on October 24, 2012, said property was seized by officers of the Camden County Sheriff's Office/Drug Task Force from Crofton Cannon: Seven Hundred and Forty Dollars in United States Currency ($740.00). The conduct giving rise to said seizure was as follows: On October 24, 2012, in Camden County, Georgia, officers with the Camden County Sheriff's Office/Drug Task Force conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to use turn signal and failure to maintain lane after the vehicle left a residence under surveillance for suspected controlled substance distribution. After initially stopping the vehicle, the driver fled the scene at excessive speeds until he lost control of the vehicle and both passengers were apprehended. A bag of cocaine and a gun were thrown out of the window while fleeing from the deputies. The currency was recovered from the left front pants pocket of Crofton Cannon. Said property was used or intended for use to facilitate a violation of O.C.G.A. Sec. 16-13-30 and/or was proceeds derived or realized therefrom.

You are further notified that you may file a claim within thirty (30) days of the second publication of this Notice of Seizure by sending the claim by certified mail, return receipt requested, to the District Attorney and to the seizing agency at the addresses shown below.
