Notice of Termination of Rights to Child Pursuant to O.C.G.A. 19-8-12

To: The Unknown Biological Father of Melanie Raenell Knight

You are hereby advised that the legal mother of the above-referenced child has alleged that there are several possible unknown biological fathers of the minor child born Melanie Raenell Knight to Brandi Knight on October 3, 2012.

You are hereby advised that a petition seeking to terminate your rights to the child and place legal custody of the child with my clients for the purpose of adoption, has been filed in Gwinnett County Superior Court. You will lose all rights to the child and will neither receive notice nor be entitled to object to the adoption of the child unless, within 30 days of receipt of this notice, you (1) file a petition to legitimate the child pursuant to Georgia Code Section 19-7-22; (2) provide notice of the filing of the petition to legitimate with the Clerk of the Superior Court of Gwinnett County, Georgia at 75 Langley Drive, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30045 and (3) provide notice of the filing to the undersigned at 2849 Paces Ferry Road, Suite 215, Atlanta, Georgia 30339.
