PUBLIC NOTICE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) - YOUTH SERVICES The Columbus Consolidated Government, Job Training Division, on behalf of the Lower Chattahoochee Workforce Investment Board, intends to request proposals for the provision of the following services, under the Workforce Investment Act, for the contractual period July 1, 2013 thru June, 30, 2014: 1) In-School Youth (Younger Youth) Solicitation for a Year-Round Internship Program (Work Experience) that incorporates a Summer Employment component for 7 counties (Chattahoochee, Clay Harris, Quitman, Randolph, Stewart, Talbot), serving 40 in-school youth and a determinant number of participants to be served during the interim period (Summer Employment Program). Total funding available: $156,000 2) In-School (Younger Youth) Solicitation for a Year-Round Internship Program (Work Experience) for the Muscogee County area only; serving 40 in-school youth. Total funding available: $100,000 3) Out of School Youth (Older Youth) - WEB Project Solicitation for an innovated year-round program design that incorporates basic skills upgrading, work readiness, and Internship (Work Experience) for the Muscogee County area only with job placement outcomes; serving 40 out-of-school youth. Total funding available: $100,000 4) Out -of-School Youth (Older Youth) with Special Needs Solicitation for Year-Round Internship Program (Work Experience) for the Muscogee County area only; serving 10 out-of-school youth with special needs. Total funding available: $43,000 Any contract awarded for the provision of these services will be "cost reimbursement". The following performance will be requested under this proposal: Attainment of Degree or Certificate 80% Placement in Employment or Education 80% Literacy/Numeracy Gains 40% The Lower Chattahoochee Workforce Investment Area includes the counties of: Harris, Talbot, Muscogee, Chattahoochee, Stewart, Randolph, Quitman, and Clay. Requests for Proposals (RFP) will be available to interested parties on February 4, 2013. RFPs will be available for downloaded thru the Columbus Consolidated Government Website at www.columbusga.org/wia or may be picked up at the CCG Annex Building, 420 Tenth Street, Columbus, Georgia. Completed proposals will be due at the office of the Columbus Consolidated Government, Job Training Division, 420 Tenth Street, Columbus, Georgia no later than 5:00 P.M., March 1, 2013.
