Public Notice Federal law prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin (Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; sex (Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972 and the Perkins Acts of 1998 & 2006); or disability (Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990) in educational programs or activities receiving federal financial assistance. Students, parents, employees, and the general public are hereby notified that the Clarke County School District Board of Education does not discriminate in any educational programs or activities or in employment practices. The Clarke County School District offers the following vocational (career/technical/ agricultural - CTAE) education programs and career pathways: Middle School: Family & Consumer Science, Agriscience High School: Agriscience [Agricultural Mechanics, Agriscience (includes Biotechnology), Plant Science/Horticulture], Business and Computer Science [Administrative/Information Support] Family & Consumer Sciences [Early Childhood Education], Healthcare Science [Therapeutic Services - Nursing], Military Sciences [JROTC], School-to-Career [Work-Based Learning, Youth Apprenticeship, Internship], Technology [Architectural Drawing & Design, Engineering Graphic & Design], Trade and Industry [Transportation Logistical Operations and Support - Auto Tech, Broadcast Video Production, Graphic Design, Graphic Communications]. In addition, through our partnership with Athens Technical College, students may take courses at the Athens Community Career Academy in the following college pathways: Accounting, Business Administrative Technology, Computer Information Systems, Networking, Criminal Justice, Drafting, Early Childhood Care & Education, Healthcare, Hotel/Restaurant/Tourism Management, Marketing Management. College courses taught at the Career Academy by Athens Technical College which are accepted by all Georgia Technical Colleges and University System of Georgia schools include: English 1101 - Composition and Rhetoric, English 1102 - Literature and Composition, Math 1111 - College Algebra, Biology 1111/1111L - Biology I and Biology Lab, Chemistry 1211/1211L - Chemistry I and Chemistry Lab, History 2111/2112 - US History I and II, Psychology 1101 - Introductory Psychology. We encourage and invite all students to enroll in our CTAE and dual enrollment/ACCEL programs.
