Public Notice Georgia Coastal Management Program Request for Program Changes On November 7, 2012, Coastal Resources Division of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) submitted a request to NOAA Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management (OCRM) to incorporate changes to several Enforceable Policies of the federally-approved Georgia Coastal Management Program, including the Coastal Marshlands Protection Act, Protection of Tidewaters Act, Right of Passage Act, and Georgia Department of Natural Resources Rules and Regulations. Notifications of changes pursuant to the Clean Water Act were also included. Public notices regarding this request were published on November 8, 2012 describing the routine nature of the of the requested program changes. On December 10, 2012, the State of Georgia received concurrence from OCRM that the requested actions constituted routine program changes. Federal Consistency will apply to all federal permits, direct federal activities and federally funded activities affected by the approved changes effective January 22, 2013.
