RN7008 STATE OF GEORGIA, ROME, FLOYD COUNTY TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: That on JULY 3, 2012, $1700.00 in US Currency with an estimated value of $25,000 or less, was seized by members of the Rome Floyd Metro Task Force in Floyd County, Georgia, and subsequently on July 16, 2012 and within sixty (60) days after seizure of said property and proper notice of the same having been given to the undersigned, a notice of seizure of personal property and pendency of forfeiture was posted in the Superior Court of Floyd County, naming JEFFERY MICHAEL BATTLES in control of said property at the time of its seizure, and alleging that said property is deemed contraband under the provisions of O.C.G.A. Section 16-13-49(d) and was used or intended for use to facilitate a violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act in that during a search of the above-referenced location whereon property was located, said contraband was used to facilitate the sale of or were proceeds from the sale of (METHAMPHETAMINE) in close proximity to said contraband. If no claim is filed with the seizing law enforcement agency and the District Attorney as required by law within thirty (30) days after the second publication of this notice of forfeiture, all rights, title and interest in the property shall be forfeited to the State of Georgia and shall be distributed as authorized by law.
