NOTICE OF SALE UNDER POWER
Under and by virtue of the power of sale contained in a Security Deed from MINE SAFETY TRAINING, INC. to Crescent Bank and Trust Company, dated November 30, 2004, recorded February 8, 2005, in Deed Book 626, Page 408, Pickens County, Georgia records, as transferred to Renasant Bank pursuant to that certain Purchase and Assumption Agreement dated as of July 23, 2010, by and among Renasant Bank, The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Receiver of Crescent Bank & Trust Company and The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and as assigned to RENASANT BANK by Assignment recorded in Deed Book 906, Page 818, Pickens County, Georgia records, said Security Deed being given to secure a Note from MINE SAFETY TRAINING, INC. of even date in the original principal amount of Five Hundred Ten Thousand Seven Hundred and 00/100 ($510,700.00) Dollars, with interest from date at a rate per cent per annum on the unpaid balance until paid; there will be sold by the undersigned at public outcry to the highest bidder for cash before the Courthouse door at Pickens County, Georgia, within the legal hours of sale on the first Tuesday in August, 2012, the following described property:
All that tract or parcel of land lying and being in Land Lot 235 of the 12th District, 2nd Section, Pickens County, Georgia, and being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point located at the intersection of the southerly right of way of Confederate Way (a 60 foot right of way) with the westerly right of way of Confederate Avenue (60 foot right of way); thence running along the westerly right of way of Confederate Avenue along an arc of the curve to the left with a radius of 330.00 feet and an arc distance of 141.77 feet (said arc being subtended by a chord bearing south 12 degrees 37 minutes 34 seconds East with a chord distance of 140.68 feet to an iron pin found; running thence South 65 degrees 04 minutes 00 seconds West a distance of 190.00 feet to an iron pin; running thence North 00 degrees 33 minutes 25 seconds West a distance of 211.59 feet to an iron pin found located on the Southerly right of way of confederate Way; running thence along the Southerly right of way of Confederate Way along an arc of a curve to the right having a radius of 220.00 feet and an arc distance of 89.69 feet (said arc being subtended by a chord bearing North 83 degrees 13 minutes 02 seconds East a chord distance of 89.08 feet to a point; continuing thence along said southerly right of way South 85 degrees 06 minutes 10 seconds East a distance of 55.35 feet to the point of beginning; as per that certain survey prepared by Michael J. Savage G.R.L.S. #2737, dated November 29, 2004 as prepared for Anthony & Kathy Whitworth and Mine Safety, Inc. and Crescent Bank & Trust Co., and also being that certain property known as Lot 15, Mountain City Office Park and shown in Plat Book KK, Page 182, Pickens County Court House.
The debt secured by said Security Deed has been and is hereby declared due because of, among other possible events of default, failure to pay the indebtedness as and when due and in the manner provided in the Note and Security Deed. The debt remaining in default, this sale will be made for the purpose of paying the same and all expenses of this sale, as provided in the Security Deed and by law, including attorney's fees (notice of intent to collect attorney's fees having been given).
Said property will be sold subject to any outstanding ad valorem taxes (including taxes which are a lien, but not yet due and payable), any matters which might be disclosed by an accurate survey and inspection of the property, any assessments, liens, easements, encumbrances, zoning ordinances, restrictions, covenants, and matters of record superior to the Security Deed first set out above.
To the best knowledge and belief of the undersigned, the party in possession of the property is MINE SAFETY TRAINING, INC. or a tenant or tenants.

Notice of Special Education Records Destruction By the Pickens County School System
In compliance with the Individual Disabilities Act (IDEA), The Georgia Records Act, and the Pickens County School System local procedure regarding destruction of data collected, maintained or used in the provision of a free and appropriate public education of students with disabilities in the Pickens County Schools, the Records Department announces it's intention to destroy special education records on August 15, 2012. Records on students who were enrolled in a special education program in the Pickens County School System who were born between January 1, 1976 and December 31, 1989 and were twenty-two (22) years of age as of January 1, 2012 are no longer needed for educational purposes.
The student or parent may need these records for Social Security or other reasons. If you, as a former special education student or a parent of a former special education student, wish to obtain these records prior to destruction, you should contact the Special Education Records Department, Pickens County Board of Education, 100 D.B. Carroll Street Jasper, Georgia. Positive, identification will be required before the records can be released to the individual.
