The work to be accomplished consists of furnishing all materials (except as noted below), equipment, personnel, plus performing all the necessary labor to construct the following: SEWER LINE +/- 2,450 Linear Feet 12\'94 dia. gravity sewer pipe, manholes, related appurtenances, replacing an existing sewer line, and connections of new gravity sewer line into existing gravity sewer lines at three locations. The City reserves the right to award this Project by Divisions or and combination of Divisions, if applicable, whichever is in the best interest of the City of Forsyth. All anticipated federal, state, and local permits required for the project have been obtained. The City anticipates that all rights of way and easements for this project will be obtained by 10/1/12. Contractor must be registered and participate in the federal work authentication program (Everify). Bid must include a signed, notarized affidavit from the contractor attesting that the affiant is using and will continue to use E-Verify throughout the contract period. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Forsyth City Hall, 26 North Jackson Street, Forsyth, Georgia 31029. All interested bidders are encouraged to attend both the pre-bid conference. Bidding contractors shall have the ability to fully mobilize and begin work in 10 days from the notice to proceed. All work shall be completed within the specified construction completion time. All proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check drawn in favor of the City of Forsyth in the amount of (5%) percent of the bid price; to be forfeited as liquidated damages in the event that the bid be accepted and the bidder fail to enter promptly into a contract. The City of Forsyth reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities, technicalities, or formalities. The City reserves the right to reject an imbalanced bid. No bid will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City of Forsyth prior to the time set forth above, and accompanied by a Bidder's Bond, payable to City of Forsyth, for 5% of the amount of the bid; to be forfeited as liquidated damages in the event that the bid be accepted and the bidder fail to enter promptly into a written contract and furnish the required Payment Bond and Performance Bond and Insurance Certificates.
